I think I'll take a break from posting for a couple of weeks, you know, to fully enjoy summer. I'll probably post a dump of everything when I get back though, since I still plan on making stuff.
For our last day of 113a we brought in lilies. We focused on being more lose, and we didn't draw it before painting (although we did do a sketch to figure out the composition). It was extremely fun, and i got to push myself to be more lose and flawy again ^_^ This class has been so amazing and I've learned so much from Inga, not to mention my classmates. I'm going to really miss everyone, and hopefully I can keep progressing at this rate on my own.
Finished OUR LAST 113a still life. If you look closely at the plate you can see the exact moment I lost my sanity.
Jokes aside though, I'm really happy with it. I wish I could have worked on it more, especially the leaves, but I was pushing myself to be more painterly and have more fun with colors. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and more importantly I learned A LOT ^_^
Here is a sneak peak at an in-progress in-class painting. Still working on the underpainting. I'm really proud of my tea kettle thingy, hopefully I can keep the interesting colors all the way though.
